Wycoller Country Park Engagement~Melissa & Adam
Any season is a romantic time for an engagement shoot but with the memories of hazy days still lingering and the fading colours of the foliage late summer the changing season holds the promise of something new and expectant . Melissa and Adam asked me to think of a place that would work for their engagement shoot. They were both very nervous about being in front of the camera and they came to meet me several times before we went ahead.
Wycoller Country Park is a forgotten rural nature park with a beautiful lost village in the middle of nowhere and yet only ten minutes from the busy towns of east Lancashire ~ a perfect spot to hideaway and have a very private engagement shoot.
We walked down the long country lane which leads to the village itself and chatted about their plans and before long Melissa and Adam had forgotten about the camera and felt relaxed enough for me to begin shooting.
They even had some fun at my expense as I waded into the river to get these romantic shots of them on the old bridge, with me up to my ankles in running water, trying to keep my balance and shoot at the same time! In Melissa's words, we had fun and literally all of her worries disappeared.
And so it went... as we walked and talked about how they met, the things they like to do together, their travels & adventures, and the little things that make each other laugh, I carried on shooting and they barely noticed. They told me about their plans for their beautiful wedding and even more fabulous honeymoon and as I got to know Melissa and Adam a little more I saw just how much the love each other. I can't wait to shoot Melissa and Adam's wedding in 2018 x
Thank you to Rebecca Lord-Lyon at the beautiful award winning Edith & Winston Bridalwear for being kind enough to feature my images on her blog, I feel very honoured and look forward to sharing Melissa and Adam's Wedding with you next year x.
