Kate & Nick ~ Rivington Pike Engagement Session

Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know a couple. Kate and Nick were feeling very shy about being in front of the camera which is exactly why I like to do engagement shoots… so that we can find out more about each other. By the end of the session the couple feel relaxed and comfortable in front of my camera which always makes for more natural shots and they know what to expect on the big day.

Kate and Nick chose a rural setting so that Mable, their gorgeous cocker spaniel puppy, could come along and distract us all with her cute playfulness and boundless energy. So what began as a short ramble around the 150 year old Rivington Terraced Gardens turned into a hike up to the tower at the top of Rivington Pike; but well worth it for the views.

The location really reflected their wild and rustic choice of wedding venues at Greenacres at Rainford set in beautiful woodland and afterwards in Betty’s Tipis at Inglenook Farm amongst the lavender fields.
